General Comments
Dead man's shoes is basically a revenge film but what a film and what a story.
A quick run down of the plot , Paddy Considine returns from the army with his younger brother to the small town where they grew up, while he has been away his younger brother has been taken in by a local gang ,lead by Gary Strech, and Paddy is not a happy man with what he finds out...
This is a tough gritty film with some superb character acting most notably from the three lead rolls, from the very beginning the combination of bleak northern town locations, the storyline, the soundtrack and the actors should have you hooked. There are some brief black humour moments but not too many as to confuse what the films about (2CV not a good gang car!!).
This is a sadly overlooked film in my opinion.
