Good Points

They may appear to give good value for money but this is irrelevant if they don't pay out when you make a claim !


Bad Points

They use any means possible to invalidate your claim, from accusing you of lying on your Application for Insurance to implying that you didn't own the goods that you are claiming for, even though you have receipts, valuations and photographs of the items concerned.


General Comments

In 40 years of dealing with Insurance Companies for Car, Travel & Contents Insurance, Esure are by far the worst company I have ever dealt with.
As opposed to other companies, who go through the process of confirming the truthfulness of a claim with a standard validation process, Esure appear to start from the premise that they are not going to pay out on a claim and they then employ every devious and underhand method they can think of to support that viewpoint.
I was mugged over 18 months ago and had my watch, ring and mobile phone stolen - I reported it to the Police immediately and reported it to Esure when I got home. I have had several meetings with their Loss Adjustor's lasting over four hours in total and have supplied Esure with every piece of information they could possibly require - Valuation, Photographs, Receipts, Police Statements, etc and still they refusing to pay out my claim - without giving me any reasons!
I wouldn't recommend Esure to anybody!
