Very fast at taking your money.


Bad Points

Be warned buying a car from Motorpoint may not be the pleasing experience you were expecting.
I paid 9600 for a ten month old Ford Focus, I collected the car on Tuesday and by the next day the side trim on the car started to come away from the cars body, on closer inspection by a friend I was told that the side of the car had been re-sprayed, thinking that the body trim was covered by the six year body and paint warranty by Ford I phoned them only to be told that due to the fact that the re-spray had not been done by them the six year body warranty for that side of the car was void and I should contact Motorpoint straight away.
The next day I phoned Motorpoint Customer Service, the reaction I got was generally:-
It's a used car and sold as seen; I explained about the lack of warranty on the cars body work and was told, it will only be the side that has been re-sprayed that is not covered by Fords warranty? And that the remainder of the Ford warranty was applicable?


General Comments

So if you are thinking about buying a car from Motorpoint, don't without thinking about what if all is not well with the car they sell you (you will be stuck with the problem and the bill yourself).
Watch so-called warranties, used cars are sold as seen and may have no warranty at all.
Regardless of age, if the car as not been maintained or repaired by the manufacturers then the warranty could be void. Some New cars sold by Motorpoint are imported and may not have the same warranty as a UK car (UK Ford 3 year, import 2 years only).
My advice is pay the bit extra and buy from another dealer rather than Motorpoint.
