General Comments
The Kymco Xciting 500 is a lovely big scooter. My first foray into scooter ownership, after many years of geared bikes. Just wish I had done it years ago. So effortless to ride. The bike is quite heavy at just over 203kgs but once on the move it feels very light and agile. All the weight is situated very low down in the frame. Low speed handling is spot on.
Mirrors are the only real downside to this bike, they give a nice view of your gloves and very little else. If only they had fitted longer mirror stalks?
Loads of nice little touches on the bike, like the easily accessible fuel filler, and the phone holder and charger under the seat. Under seat storage isn't the biggest I have seen on a scooter but it is big enough to fit my full face helmet (just).
I rode the Suzuki Burgman 400, the Gilera Nexus 500, and the Yamaha Majesty before I decided on the Kymco. I know I made the right choice!
