Good Points

This TV is a revelation in that it is the first really good flat TV I've ever seen that rivals a CRT. SD picture quality is superb with spot on life like colours. HD picture quality is faultless and very, very sharp with significant depth.

The best thing about the Panasonic TH-37PX70PED is that it bridges the gap between SD and HD providing the perfect TV that does everything well which offers perfect HD and will certainly keep me going until full HD panels become affordable.

Out of the box settings are almost there but some minor tweaking fed from a Sky HD box produces perfection.

Bad Points

The sound is OK but nothing special. If you tie it up to a home Cinema system, who cares?

General Comments

37 inches is a very good compromise size and is large enough to really enjoy high definition but does not take over the room like a 42". The reviews I've read indicate that the 37" has better picture quality of the two.

Currys wouldn't match the internet prices but Comet tried and came close so I took home the TV that day for £799, which I thought was excellent value for a really good product.
