General Comments

First of all I have to say I was very impressed right out of the box with Ghost Recon on my standard definition TV. And I still have yet to get a HD TV, so all of the games like Gears of War still look stunning in SD.

Second lets look at the guide menu. Right when you start it up you are asked to make a gamer profile to use on the console. There are also a few gamer pictures on the console already, but you can get more later from the Marketplace. The achievements system is a cool way of tracking you progress (and showing off to your friends).

The Xbox Live gold service will set you back around $50-$70 but in my opinion its worth it. In the latest update to the console you also can now text message to people on Windows Live Messenger from your console. The sheer amount of downloadable content for games and your console is amazing, especially with the Xbox Live Arcade.

All in all this is a very impressive piece of hardware, one that I would recommend to anyone.

*The hardware errors are varied with different consoles so you may not even have a problem, but reports say that %33 of consoles sold did.

Respect given for Dark Spartan's review.
