Good Points

Plasma TVs are good because unlike LCD you can watch them at an angle and the colours still seem bright. This one seems to have very good colours it also has a good picture even when you are not watching in HD mode.

Bad Points

1. Downright tricky for me to understand how you flick between Sky and Free View. (Use the "TV" button and if it gets stuck then whilst the menu is up press the "blue" button - you'll get the hang of it).
2. Sound seems very good to me, but I suspect some people will want better.
3. Plasma TVs probably have a shorter life expectancy than LCD, but I was told that it should still be good for 15 years which, if true, will be more than long enough.

General Comments

HD mode requires subscription to Sky HD and/or a very expensive DVD player. Its a real surprise so many TVs have an HD facility when so few people watch HD. The quality of the non-HD picture is actually very important, which is a good recommendation for this Panasonic Viera.

You have to subscribe to any service to get an HD signal, it doesn't matter what TV you buy. I thought everyone knew that. You also only get limited channels for viewing HD quality and at the moment is not worth the extra £15.00 a month to view rubbish.
