Good Points

Looks good and a great price for a frost free fridge freezer


Bad Points

This model has a manufacturing fault. The problem is in the fridge section (the freezer section works fine). The fridge section is cooled by cold air being blown from the freezer section, but the connecting pipes between the lower and upper section freeze up. This is a known manufacturing fault, and Bosch released a kit to try and modify and fix this fault, but the kits don't work (the Bosch service engineer told me this.


General Comments

If you have bought this freezer send it back and ask for an uplift number to a low you to buy another brand. The Bosch engineer told me to either buy a AEG or Miele. He also said a whole range of Bosch fridge freezers have the same fault.

If you can't send your fridge back hassle Bosch for your money back. As a work around the only solution is to totally defrost the whole freezer overnight. I did this yesterday, you will notice a load of water in the drip tray at the back that sits on top of the compressor. You might want to empty this before switching the the fridge back on. This will get the freezer working again as normal, but you will find in about 3 months the fridge will stop working again when the pipes get frozen and you will have to repeat the whole defrost procedure again.
