Good Points

Absolutely solid construction with excellent fitting and solid feel. Devastating hitting power and pretty darn accurate for a 25 caliber. it has an extremely easy and smooth trigger pull that does not jerk you off target at release. The trigger and safety are firearm quality.

Bad Points

The only thing I noticed on mine was the open sights it came with would not allow the rear sight to rise up enough to sight in at 30 yards.

General Comments

I wanted a 25 caliber airgun to complete a set of guns ranging from .177 through .22 and including the .25. I have heard so much about Weihrauch and their quality that I bought one after reviewing many articles on the Webley Patriot and the Beeman RX2 plus some PCP guns of the same caliber. I was not disappointed in the quality of the solidly built Weihrauch airgun. It is heavy but this is to be expected for such a powerful weapon. It is hard to cock the Theoben gas spring as is to also be expected if one wants to have the power. I found it smooth and having steady pressure as the gun neared full cocking action which surprised me as one would expect it to steadily increase as the pressure built up. The .25 caliber barrel visibly bends during the cocking process which made me wonder if such action would permanently deform the barrel when I first started using it. After having shot it about 250 times I did not notice any difference in the grouping of shots. The mass of the gun is evenly distributed in its length making aiming it a pleasure and I believe the inertia of said mass adds to stable aiming. The action of shooting it is a pleasant jolt that is in no way excessive in my opinion. It gets the pellet out the barrel quickly with a mild report that is more of a crack than a twang like my springers. as far as accuracy, it does not group as well as my RWS .22 caliber guns or my Hammerli X2 but it is putting the pellets in the 8 ring consistently at 31 yards. I have noticed my Webley mosquito pellets chrono at 650 feet per sec. while my Beeman heavy Kodiak pellets go out at 550 fps. The gun is scoped and zeroed in for the lighter mosquito pellets. As such the Kodiak pellets hit low and to the left very consistently. The low part I expected but the to the left surprised me. Being new to air gunning this may be a common occurrence I am not aware of. The fact that it is consistent means that if I switch to just shooting the Kodiak heavy pellets then I will have to resight my scope but will be able to expect a good shot group from that point on. I will be receiving some Crow Magnum pellets soon and will be interested to see how they compare with the others.
I really like this gun a lot and would recommend it to anyone willing to put up with hard cocking action and weight for a quality shooting experience.
