Book ahead price.
Bad Points
None really for the price, seats are close together, but for a 50 minute trip thats fair enough, I have no complaint.
General Comments
Book ahead with Austravel possibly at least two weeks (could be a little more), but not sure of the book ahead time breakpoints to get that price, it cost me about £90 return for a trip.
The trip would take all day on a train over there, as they are slow on this route, about 60 mph on what they call the Overlander. I don't know the train price?
It's 50 minutes by air plus check in time but very very efficient check-ins, lots of staff.
What more can you ask for at that price?
The aircraft route is roughly over Dimboola given weather is permitting, where some lakes have been dried up for about 7 years.

Addendum.
Forgot to say the important thing, the flights were between Adelaide and Melbourne. Anyone who complains about the quality has led too soft a life I think, it's a 50 minute trip,, up and down so relax and have 40 winks if nothing else to do, of course you could have an armchair and even a bath on the way,, price would then be about, £500.00 for the 50 minutes, or even more and the carbon footprint would be somewhat rotten, unless you have an unfortunate experience like not landing, or in one piece, nothing wrong with this service, staff efficient, ground and air. Price each way £45.00 (2007) without Bath and armchair.
