“I would imagine the problem with engaging gear a bit...”

Good Points
Excellent handling and acceleration last car was a 1.3 Fiesta so I'm impressed with the power very nice to drive everything you need at hand inside simple to work controls.

Bad Points
Not liking the sound of these gearbox problems.

General Comments
I would imagine the problem with engaging gear a bit like on the Vauxhall Corsa would be due to resting your hand on the gear stick whilst driving putting stress on the linkage.

As for the gear box problems is there anyone who hasn't had this problem and is there a way of preventing it.

I don't know what your problem is with the gearbox, its tactile yes, and you can feel yourself driving and shifting gears but I dont see this as a problem, it feels more sporty that way.<br/>Maybe you are not used to real manual driving. I learnt to drive in a very old 4wd and that drove a little like a truck. The gears are not clunky, just tactile.
