The staff are very friendly and helpful in every way. The Holiday Park Apartments are clean, airy and spacious. The food served is a good price, very fresh and all staff wear gloves while cooking. The pool is clean and I saw staff cleaning the pool every morning.
If you like loud music from 11am to 12 Midnight every night, then it may be your kind of holiday. If you enjoy having some Geordie guy shouting on a microphone most of the day then this could be your ideal hotel. The pool area gets very crowded, this was in June during term time and the place was full of kids.
We were told as we checked in that noise late at night was not tolerated and if we were caught coming in making lots of noise then they would ask us to leave. Be warned, this is not true we were woke up most nights by people shouting as they came in from the bars.
This is a family oriented place, so couples and groups should look for somewhere else.
Santa Ponsa itself has highs and lows. The lows are that the very British main strip is full Irish and Scots bars selling all the Guinness and chicken nuggets you could ever want! The noise from these bars can be heard from the apartments but it's not too evasive at night.
The highs are that there is a beautiful sandy clean beach, the whole of Santa Ponsa is very clean, if you walk away from the main area there are some fantastic Spanish restaurants, the menus are not extensive but everything on the menu is fresh and cooked to perfection.
If you want a chilled and relaxed evening I would recommend the Aquarium Bar. You will receive a friendly welcome and it is family friendly.
I enjoyed my holiday on Santa Ponsa, it is convenient for the airport and there is lots to do in the local area. It is only a 15 minute cab ride to Magaluf so we booked tickets for Pirates, this was the highlight of my holiday and would definitely want to see it again.
