Good bonus accelerator scheme, ideal for me as I was a late learner to driving !! Reasonably priced
Lack of customer service skills, never get to speak to the same person twice (and the information given varies from person to person), very unsympathetic and unhelpful even though the incident was not my fault (parked at home when a van smashed into my car and drove off without stopping). You have to chase them constantly for information
My accident happened quite late (thankfully I was already at home otherwise I would have been hysterical) and was given 3 wrong numbers by Diamond customer service before being passed to Admiral as their claims team work later than Diamond ! I was then given different information from the customer service advisor's on several occasions.
My car is being written off (not Diamond's fault but they are no help whatsoever), I've got to pay my excess even though it's not my fault, I can't claim for a hire car as the car isn't being repaired, have lost my no claims bonus and to add to the insult of it all they cancelled my insurance policy yesterday with 9 months left to run on it and I apparently don't get any refund on monies paid (what an utter disgrace) so now not only do I need to find another car before my claim is settled, I also need to arrange alternative insurance. Obviously Diamond are in no hurry to sort this claim as they have no one to claim against.
A lot of my friends recommended Diamond but they've never had a accident whilst insured with them. DON'T DO IT LADIES - as I've just found out they're certainly NOT a girl's best friend !!!!
