It is fast and all I had to do was open and use. I have friends who also have the Inspiron 6000 but don't use it as much as I do.
Not durable. This is my second Dell laptop. The first one died when the motherboard gave out. I had had it for a few years.
The second one I've had to replace the cord and the keyboard twice! The cord and first keyboard were free because of warranty, but the second keyboard I had to buy. Their service sucks and I finally had to take it to a computer repair guy when I got a virus.
I've had it for less than a year and a half and the screen is going out. Even if I get a new screen and have someone install it, it will cost me over $300. I can send it to them for repair but that would be half the cost of the computer.
I know many people who use Dell's and like them. If it had been just one computer I'd have thought I just had a lemon. But both of the dell's broke down within a couple of years. Granted, Several people in my house use it, so it does get a lot of use, but still it should last longer than it has.
