Good Points

There is no gun like it for the money.

Bad Points

You must be careful as the semi auto nature of this rifle results in costly operation.
In other words, you shoot alot of pellets and gas in a short time.

General Comments

Many pellet gun owners like the 1077 because it is so darn easy to modify.
The greatest enemy of any gas gun is getting liquid CO2 into the seals. You must keep the liquid as far away from the seals as possible (or you will eventually fry them and they will leak). The method below not only results in an economical rifle, but one that absolutely keeps liquid from the seals.
In the name of economy (because it is very expensive to operate this rifle), I have bulked the two I own.
One utilizes the AirSource adapter. You cut the neck off an AirSource bottle, drill & tap it for 1/8" NPT, dope and thread a male quick disconnect fitting into it and you have a dandy bulk CO2 bottle to Air Source adapter. I have made a number of these for my rifles (see RWS 850). I also use a Cooper T setup with bulk quick disconnect on the 10 meter version (see below).
I use both with a 24 OZ bottle and coiled "remote" tube. The cost of CO2 becomes non-existent with such a set-up, getting (what must be) 4,000 full power shots for $6.00 US of gas.
My selection of pellets are the cheapest I can lay my hands on...RWS Basic. They fit perfectly into the magazine too.
Now to accuracy; I currently have two of these rifles. One is lousy for accuracy and I have fitted it with a laser sight (which nicely compensates for the + / - of shooting it). The other is so incredibly accurate and consistent that I have fitted it with a diopter peep sight for (what delights me) the most accurate and consistent 10 meter rifle I have ever used. I paid $34 US each for these plastic stock re-manufactured from Airgun Express. This is a classic case of "paying your money and taking your chances". The extreme accuracy of my 10 meter version is not normal so do not expect it.
So - from my experience these are neat guns. With the right setup they are loads of fun.
