I started suffering from extreme eczema about two months ago, and I decided to approach Dr & Herbs for treatment. I suffered from extreme eczema about 14 years ago and took treatment from a Chinese herbalist in Leicester Square, where I was living at the time. This really helped, and it was totally cleared within a couple of weeks. This is one of the reasons I thought I'd try Dr Herbs based in the Bull Ring in Birmingham.
At the first consultation I was asked to take a seat while the 'Dr' took my pulse and asked me to stick out my tongue. The 'Dr' did not speak English and just spoke to the shop assistant in Chinese, which made me feel uncomfortable. Shortly after, they started preparing some tea (wood chippings) to take home with me, without even discussing anything with me. They tried to get me to take 7 weeks worth of medication with me and some cream to apply. I told the shop assistant that I am not in the position to take 7 weeks worth of tea with the cream. I took one weeks worth, and they were not happy and started to speak in Chinese again.
After a week of the disgusting tea, my skin started to clear and that motivated me to go back. Again, I went back, but I took my friend who spoke and understood Chinese clearly. I asked for another weeks worth, and again they started saying "please take six weeks worth and we will give you another weeks worth free of charge". I said "no".
I would not recommend them to anyone. You are better off seeing your GP.
