Good Points

On arrival at the Spyridoula Apartments, we were introduced to the owner and his wife by a very friendly and helpful rep called Tina. We were then shown into our room by the owners, welcomed with fresh Orange juice and a bottle of water getting the holiday off to a great start. The view from the shared balcony on one side was the sea and the other the shear sides of the mountains a short distance away. The use of the pool at the hotel, just around the corner, we found very nice. The room was very clean on arrival and was cleaned every day, towels changed if required and bed linen changed every three days by a friendly and hard working maid. We found the quality of food and service in most of the tavernas and bars in the town of Perissa to be of a very high standard by very friendly staff.

Bad Points

None.

General Comments

The beach area had plenty of sun loungers at around 7 Euros per day, supplied by many of the bars on the front, where snacks/drinks could be purchased. A small boat ferried people to and from Kamari just around the rocky mountain of ancient Therra for 4.5 Euros for a steep but comfortable walk could be made to the top of ancient Therra to view the ruins, then a walk or ride down the other side by mini bus. The local bus service to and from Fira we found to be very comfortable and reliable but sometimes a little late, known as Greek time, for 1.90 Euros one way. Services to and from other resorts could be made from Fira, the Capital. We ate out but there are many local shops and a bakery within a short walk of the apartments.
