yes Tom.'s recommendation

Good Points

Accurate - with logun and air arms ammo

Good Looking

Has Stopping power

2x 8 basically a 16 round clip.

Silencer works great

Bad Points

Diffucilt to zero lazer sight (simmonds)

The Logun Pump will soon become blocked and useless if you forget to use the *Bleed Valve.

diffucilt to boost power as there is little infomation on the net on how to do so.

You need some endurance to pump up the bottle to 3000 psi

General Comments

I shot a rabbit with this thing at 13 meters and the pellet went straight through (head shot)

The gun has stopping power theres no doupt about it.. if u acidentley cock it more than twice you will end up with 3 pellets in the chambre and if they get too stuck you will have to dismantle the gun and Melt the ammunition out the barrel.

Had a few jams myself, no need to melt ammo, bit extreme, managed to clear them by using a ram (gently of course). Ive also had 2 instances of shot going clean through rabbits. One went through the mouth and clear, the other went through one eye and out of the other. bit messy to say the least. Would like to hear from anyone who has the Logun lamp as Im thinking of getting one.

Theres 2 types of pump which i can recomend..

    http://www.airgunpump.com/frame.asp?page=pump

there a pump for little under 200 quid that will filter the moisture out of the air at the same time.

Remember after say a 100 pumps let it cool down as my mates pump is in for repairs becuase the seals melted. it gets very hot.

If anyone has any ideas on how to boost the power of the S-16 let me know at

Easy! Remove sight mount, this gives access to the hammer spring. Move spring forward or slide out to allow a washer (the same diameter as the spring)to be inserted at the rear of the spring. Make sure you test power as a washer about 1/8th" raised my power from 9.5 to 12ftlb.Bang on the legal limit!

  4. tomThumb. on 19th Jul 2003

hey Bill, thanks for that but can u give a little more detail?
i mean, when u take the scope rail off i can see the spring, but where do u put the washer ? in the back or the front>?
and what was the thickness of your washer roughley? 1 or 2 mm?

    thanks, heres my e-mail

    Bill

I am contemplating buying this Logun
    What does the spring do?
I thought this is a PCP
Does it regulate the air pressure
or amount of air per shot?

yes, please could someone tell me how to UP the power of the s16

  7. atomicnk Rank: Sergeant on 29th Oct 2003

right i took mine down and put washers behind the spring, and not only is it now twice as loud it is only about 11 foot pound (previously at 10 ish) so this doesnt make much of a difference, but there is a grub screw under the rail apparently (as said by logun) that there is a fine ballance of power by the screw if its not screwed in enough you wont get much power out of it but if you screw it in too far, again you will loose power i havnt played with it too much but this does make a lot of difference. recently i phone then up and said it was doing 9 foot pound and that i had tried tweaking that grub screw (i was lying) and they said they would pick it up but i said as ive sent it back before (for low power (8ftlb) and it took 2 weeks to get back) i said i dont want it picked up and i know they would only put it to about 10 - 11 foot pounds anyway, i asked them if thay could just tell me how to put the power up, i pleaded and pleaded for them to tell me but they wouldnt have any off it. recently a friend of mine who know EVERYTHING about guns, said the power cannot be put up ? so i am as much in the dark about this as any off you i have contemplated sending it back as i have started to dislike this gun!!!

IF THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO KNOWS FOR SURE HOW TO DO THIS (WITH OUT DRILLING) PLZ LET US KNOW!!!)

one of my friends waited more than two years for the s16 to hit the shelves because of all the hype etc,the gun itself looks astonishing, the finish, the silencer, laser housing and all the other titbits, anyway,he got his hands on one of the first s16s'(mk2) and thought all his xmas's came at once, toys for boys eh?that night we decided to do a bit of rabbiting after he meticulosly zeroed his scopes in,on the way he said the gun was very quiet etc, five mins out of the car i raised up my logun axsor and walloped a rabbit from about 20-25 yds away, instant kill,2 mins later Les lifted his s16,and from about the same distance, took aim at another bunny...and completly missed,he was furious,he had filled the buddy bottle with enough shots to down a jumbo jet,he spat the dummy out saying"i had those scopes zereod at 30 yds".we went home and he wanted to fire his still fully powered logun through a chronograph, and to his,and my disbelief,it worked out that it was firing at 8 ft/lbs,i thought maybe a seal had gone,or there was leakage from somewhere,he sent the gun back to logun for a check and asked why the power was so mediocre, after 2 weeks he was returned the gun with NO FAULTS FOUND,the moral of the story is simple-if it looks to good to be true then it probably is,for anyone looking to buy an s16,do your homework on them theres a few stories circulating about how suspect the rifle really is,in my opinion, try the B.S.As' s/ten bull barrel,or the new Weihrauch 100(14 shot)if you want a gun that looks like something darth vader would go hunting with, then by all means buy it
if you know of any other complaints about this gun, please let me know joemallon747@hotmail.com,thank you

Me and my mate both have s-16's little heavy but its fine. 12.5 foot pounds mine is out and my mate s about the same. ask them to change the power not to look for faults. there was not fault just configured wrong. you may have to pay though.v

Low power? I should be so lucky!
Got a chronograph and tested it with 100 Bar in the bottle, 11.7 ft/lbs, prety good!
Filled the bottle to 200 Bar, tested it again and this time 13.85 ft/lbs!!

This gun has fired about 40 shots and is about 2 months old.

And yes, before you ask, the chrono was checked against a good one at my local shop, and it's spot on.

Get a CB625 mk4, they are really worth it for tuning and staying legal!
