Child friendly, and you know what you're getting
You don't know WHEN you're getting it, or what condition it will be in
Generally very predictable with a menu that never changes. I wouldn't go without children, and don't often go with, but on desperate occasions it's been OK, which is about as much enthusiasm I can muster. Grilled meats tend to be fine. I don't bother with starters, as the kids are too young to have sufficient patience, and the wait for food often takes ages. They seem to have almost a dim-sum approach to serving, as dishes come in random form according to the chef's whim. In my mind, if you've got two kids on the same table, you try and ensure that you feed them within the same time-period. But this old fashioned type thinking clearly is no longer a rigeur at Brewers Fayre. They prefer their own new-fangled modern approach of random cooking and random thinking. If you do complain however, the randomness disappears. As do the waiting staff. And this at least can be predicted! Oh, and don't expect an apology or a reduction in your bill, even if they mess things up completely!
