If you are vulnerable and in a desperate state of mind they are excellent at providing false hopes. Heavy sales tactics can leave you broke.
I merely enquired about fertility aids at Dr & Herbs, as I was experiencing a lot of pressure at work. Fortunately, hospital results were fine reporting good ovaries and normal hormone levels and a good heart (following an echogram), I decided to query their treatments for relaxation as all of the tests were satisfactory! The Chinese doctor claimed my GP had missed serious problems with my heart and kidneys!! And finally recommended 3 - 4 months acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments (grass and dust!!!). All for a rate of £30 for acupuncture and £35 for Chinese herbs (each to be taken once a week). When I said that was over my budget, they said "you can afford - you are working!! Anyway, if you go for fertility treatment you pay thousands of pound"!!!. Just to get them off my back I booked an appointment, but I cancelled over the phone. SAVE YOURSELF SOME (!!) MONEY AND BE AWARE OF SALES TACTICS! I WAS LUCKY!
