Strong reliable, quality all British made vintage air rifle in 177 and 22.
Not to mention accurate and appreciating in value wt 6.8lbs. taploading.
Power output in the region of 10ft lbs with trigger let off adj screw.
Very slightly front heavy. Not the most attractive aesthetically. I put these in as everything must have a downside but these points are knitpicking and should not stop you from acquiring one of these superb aie rifles.
This rifle must rate as arguably one of the finest all round general purpose air rifles produced in six different series of this mk.[1947-1975]
Produced in various finishes, if you are in the market for a vintage rifle which still gives outstanding performance and value buy one, values are now rising so don't miss out. There are various versions to be had. This rifle was made when hand made quality was still viable and a good look at this rifle displays many of these features which ultimately was the reason for its demise as it could not be manufactured economically. Its BSA counterpart [airsporter] better looking but to my mind a little less a shooters
rifle is the other choice in this category.
