The LA Dorada is a nice hotel, ie the dinning room, the appartments, the pool area etc are quite nice.
The entertainment was good, the prices for beverages and drinks in the restaurant and bar are reasonable, the hotel is close to the beach and despite being close to the main road between alcudia and arta, there is no noise, shops around the corner...
Bad Points
The beds were too small, ie only 1.5m wide for 2 persons....other than that only minor things: the cleaning lady seemed to be in a rush occasionally ;-)
General Comments
We had booked an appartment and the meals in the hotel. Food was buffet style and good. Staff friendly, lots of families with kids there, however still quite at nite.
When we were there (June 2003) there were about 35% of the guests Spanish, 35% British, 10% German, 10% Dutch and 10% Others.

Nick, you seem to have spent more time working out how big the beds were than trying to have a good time.
The hotel is great i.e better than your making it out to be. The food, staff, appartments are excellent.
