General Comments

There are zillions of high-end cables to choose from today but most of them are simply repackaged OEM wire or of gimmicky construction. Many brands use cheap connectors like the $2 Neutrik XLRs even found on multi-thousand dollar cables. It seems like many prefer the cheap Eichmann plastic RCA plugs. Add to this the large diameter cable jackets housing 22 gauge wire (way too much plastic).

The Translucent Audio cables are a refreshing departure from the many cable clones available. The RCA interconnects sport the world's best connectors (also expensive) Xhadow plugs. These plugs are the real deal made from copper (not brass) stock. They are silver plated with anodized barrels, absolutely stunning! The cable itself is about .250 inch and flexible. It has a nice finely woven gray jacket. The wire is a silver/copper alloy done in OCC, six nines purity.

The sound, or lack thereof of these cables is excellent. Not bright or dark. Very well balanced from A-Z. Nicely focused sound-stage with lots of depth. Their hallmark appears to be in information retrieval. I am hearing more detail than my old cables offered. The small diameter cables and good fitting connectors make them a breeze to install in my crowded equipment rack.

The Transparent Audio cables are in a class of their own. When you factor-in the connectors, build quality, superb sonics, AND the price, there is no equal. These cables bested my stable of multi-thousand dollar brands and all of my sub one thousand dollar cables. They are easy to buy and you get to try for 30-days in your rig. Highly recommended!
