Worked fine for about a year, then went completely dead. Turned out the problem was a small basket had been set on it (weighing about 1.5 kilos) and worked fine when basket removed. Recently have had several DVDs that have been rented receive error message "incompatible disk"; this is not most disks, but has happened several times. Anyone know why? "Gold" disks such as "Fellowship of the Ring" work fine, as do most regular disk, while others such as "10 Ways to Lose a Guy" and "Basic" get the incompatible disk error.
