I used to hate royals, mainly because of the axle slippage, which i've found to happen on most top brand trucks. I never thought of buying a pair again but the new improved ones are great. They are light compared to many other trucks and have a low board feel for those who like to do tech flips and flicks. I also like the overall design of the truck. It has a smoother look and feel to it. I definitely will continue riding these trucks.
I have to agree with most other reviewers...the bushing on the thing suck. To me they are way too hard making the truck out of alignment . Maybe you have to spend some time breaking em' in but who likes that? (i don't) When you push the board doesn't seem to go straight. It either goes to one side or the other which is very frustrating. I suggest getting another pair of bushings. Another minor glitch is that the kingpin can get in the way when grinding, which is not a big deal a little extra scrub of wax will solve the problem.
I highly recommend these to anyone - beginner and experienced skaters. They are one of the high quality trucks out there. Also these trucks are not expensive if you do some smart shopping, especially if you purchase them in the all silver. I bought my pair for only $25 which is about $10-$15 less from the original price. So keep an eye out. ;)
