Really nice looking laptop. The base design looks great, and the screen quality is exceptionally clear using Sony's X-Black LCD technology.
The processor is an Intel Core Duo T2250 1.73 GHz, which is great for the speed factor.
The 1GB of memory is very handy for multitasking with applications.
120GB hard drive is definitely an acceptable amount of storage.
Wifi features. A must have.
DVD+RW is a nice feature.
Intel GMA950 256MB is a nice graphics card for handling tasks such as the Aero visual style in Vista, which runs perfectly, but for gaming you should be looking for something else, although you CAN throw some gaming at it, which will run well.
Firewire port, 2 USB 2.0 ports.
Very nice keyboard design.
And finally, the laptop is very cool, temperature-wise. I've had it on all night and the laptop is only a tad bit warm.
Also, the laptop is pretty quiet, I have had it for a good 4 days or so and I have yet to hear the laptops fan going mental roaring and the like, unlike various other laptops which I've owned.
Battery life at 2.30 - 3 hours isn't really enough. Although you could just buy an extended battery and you wouldn't have any problems with that.
Graphics card.
I was surprised to see a Sony Vaio notebook going for such a good price considering how expensive they usually are.
This is a great laptop, I can safely say I have no regrets purchasing this. I got it for €900 at my local PC WORLD store. Very nice keyboard design and it feels good on the fingers. Has pretty much all the features you could need in a laptop except on the gaming end, which you should consider buying a laptop with a better graphics card; but honestly -- you should get a Desktop if you're into gaming.
Didn't have many bad points to write down here, as there really are none, you're getting the specs you see and the performance of them.
Great value for money, this is in no way really a "low end" laptop, it's just excellent value.
If you're looking at one of these notebooks you should go ahead and buy it.
