Cheap for lodging cheques.
They lost 4 of my cheques and even though I had a receipt from a cashier they refused to acknowledge they had received them. Because I did not have a record of the cheque numbers and sort codes they kept my money. And they still have it.
They lose or "do not receive" letters with frightening regularity. Be extremely cautious when dealing with Alliance & Leicester Bank.
