Slow response time
About 2.5 years ago, just before I changed to RAC I broke down in London on a wet morning with my two kids. I phoned the AA and I didn't mind at least an hours wait as I realise they have to get to women first. After an hour I phoned them and they said they were delayed. Anyway, after 2.5 hours later a tow truck (contracted-one) came out and said he had just received the call 20 minutes ago !! So what happened over the last 2 hours ? The tow truck then towed my car to some unknown garage in the far north of London and I didn't have a clue how to get there(my car was in Hammersmith). The whole incident left a bad taste in my mouth and I will never use the AA or recommend them again. Don't be fooled by their household name, companies change or think they are so well known that they don't need to maintain their customer service.
