I got there in the end.
Where to start!
It all started when I received an email from SAS about 7 weeks before my flight, it said that they'd tried to contact me and could I ring customer services. So I called and a very polite man said, why had I rang, there's no problem. About a month later I get the same email. So I called again and I was told over the phone that my flight had changed from 16:00 to 15:45, I thought not a problem.
So I go to check in at Madrid, look at the screens and cannot find my flight. I got to the SAS check in desk and they said the flight wasn't operating and that they had told me two months earlier. I explained what had happened and they said that it's my fault, nothing can be done and we can't help you!
I decided then to go to the Spanair ticket desk as this was a code sharing flight. Thankfully after a lot of arguing with the manager they decided to re-route me through Barcelona, free of charge. I eventually arrived in Copenhagen 7 hours late and when you are only there for 2 days this is a considerable amount of time.
