General Comments

I've had excellent success with Weight Watchers in the past. Lost 30 pounds and kept it off for over 3 years (2001-2004). However, in the spring of 2004 I was diagnosed with throat cancer and had to under go chemo and radiation therapy. The side affects from those treatments (loss of most saliva) has made it very hard to swallow most foods and has changed the way many things now taste. Because of this, and do to the fact the I had to regain the additional 40 or 50 pounds I lost before finally completing therapy, my diet has been consisting of things that accumulate enormous amounts of "points". I usually need to eat foods with very creamy sauces or must eat things with a bowl of some type creamy soup to assist swallowing. I now feel I've reached the point where I am putting too much weight on and would also like to eat things that are a better health choice. Does Weight Watchers have any experience making suggestions of things I can eat/swallow and still be able to maintain about 24 points/day? I really would appreciate your suggestions and know many other Throat Cancer survivors would also benefit from them.
