Price. I recently have been re-bitten by the airgun bug, and found this at the local WalMart for about $70.00 and couldn't resist. It looks and feels good for the money, and the claimed 600fps in .177 seemed like fun to me.
Initial disappointment was the horrible trigger pull. It felt like 10lbs to get a shot off! Egad! I couldn't hit in the same place twice to save my life.
After shooting a quarter of a tin of 500 Crosman Premier Hollowpoints ( I know, not the best ones to start with ) and some trigger fiddling and slight mods she started actually settling down and behaving. Today I took it out for some further range shooting than my backyard testing allowed, and consistently nailed a rattle can paint cap at 20 yards.
This was with the standard adjustable open sights that are very nice for a cheap gun. I am considering a scope in the near future.
I have just ordered a RWS 34 combo with a scope in .22 from Airgun Depot and will report on that after a few rounds have been blown through it.
What is very interesting to me is the fact that I cant find any info on the 600X other than at the Network 54 forums.
If you can get one you might be as pleased as I am.........for now.
