Good Points

Can produce excellent images, very accurate.
Very flexible, lots of different modes and adjustments.
Pretty robust! (mine got dropped but was not affected!)

Bad Points

Can struggle to lock focus in certain lighting and situations.
Can be a bit soft and bland for some peoples tastes

General Comments

Delightful to use, and once mastered you can produce images as you want them to look easily. The Image quality is really quite good. Macro is a bit annoying being only at either end of the zoom range.
I found Sunshine/daylight white balance left a slight yellow green cast at times.
Auto white seemed more consistent and with one step in the direction of blue I got accurate colour results. Manual White balance is better than tungsten or fluorescent. Image Stabilisation really works well, this helps to avoid resorting to higher ISO settings. Above 200 ISO there is some visible grain. 800 ISO is badly grainy - but better than nothing. ISO 50 & 100 are fine. ISO 200 with flash is very good for indoors shots. Use ISO 400 in a larger room.
