Good Points

Good detailed and open sound.


Bad Points

Bass lacks weight. Earpeice connections very fragile.


General Comments

I've had these headphones for around 2 years now and am generally pleased with their overall performance. The sound quality is decent but is not the best around. While there is a high level of detail in the presentation, they can sound slightly raw or bright particularly with very trebly music. Equally, the bass can seem a little lightweight on thunderous tracks but does retain focus.

Sadly, the build quality isn't that great, especially when you consider the price. Of note are the earpeice connectors which easily work loose even with light and careful handling. The moulded plastic headband also looks and feels cheap. However, the padding is comfortable and they can be worn for some time without getting sore ears.

For the money, the faults in sound quality are relatively minor and these headphones do offer a good presentation of many different types of music. In my opinion, the faults in the build quality are worse and Sennheiser could do with tightening this up. Shop around.
