Without doubt Netcars are the most awful company I have ever come across!
I applied for a car loan through their online facility, within 24hrs they advised in email and by text that I had been passed for finance. My situation is I am self employed but on a long term contract. I already had my eye on a car and within days had put a deposit on it and advised NetCars of the dealer and car type and registration etc. Unfortunately, the dealer had, had previous experience of Netcars and was reluctant to allow me the time to arrange the finance through them, he said that he'd had some bad experiences with them and had told them to remove his details from there website! This made me feel uneasy. I was advised by NetCars that I would need to pay £99 for administrative purposes, this by the way is not advertised on their website and I'm sure they're breaking FSA rules by not making this clear at the outset? I paid them the £99 by debit card and waited....and waited.....and waited! Finally, I tried to contact them, the particular sales person I was dealing with, always had his phone on answer machine and you leave a message and he NEVER returns calls, this was the first sign of things going wrong! Finally, after calling him and then using the central line to get through and being demanding in getting to speak to him, he was evasive and always coming up with excuses as to the reason for the delays. Finally, because the car was at a dealers 100 miles away, I then went down to the lenders local offices, Welcome finance in this case and signed on there premises for the car loan. According to NetCar the lender would pay out within days. Five days later and after trying to contact him on too many occasions to remember, I sent an email in desperation, he replied advising that the lender had returned the documents because the DOB on the original online application wasn't the same as the one on the proof documents.
I know that this is incorrect and that I was fastidious in inputting the correct details, I can only assume that Netcars, hadn't done his job properly and checked the documents prior to submitting them to the lender, which after all is what I paid the £99 for???
The whole thing has been nearly four weeks and I'm still no closer to getting the car. I've now decided to go through Welcome Finance direct who advised right at the beginning that I should have come to them first - the local office of Welcome hadn't even heard of NetCars - Although I intend to report them to the FSA
I have complained to NetCars about their treatment and for being messed around and also to the sales persons supervisor but I haven't heard a thing....not that I expected to....therefore they can expect my complaint to go to the FSA
Overall I would recommend anyone considering going through NetCars to stay away, try Welcome Finance direct, these are the people who provide the finance for Netcars, all they do is rake in the £99, so cut out the middle man !!!
Save yourself the hassle and get a better deal direct with Welcome Finance.

  Welcome are king of the high rates. Believe me when I say I had a very pleasant experience with Netcars, and I in fact was only too happy to pay my admin fee of £99.
  Therefore it's not very fair of you to be blasting out potential customers to go direct to Welcome... who of course would rather you go to them... Netcars will actually get you the better deal.
