Replacement locks are not covered when your keys are stolen!!
Stereo front pieces which are removable are not covered!
When your bag is stolen your car keys are most likely to be in there, aren't they?
READ the small print ladies and gents "In the event that your car keys are stolen from somewhere OTHER THAN THE INSURED CAR (who leaves their car keys IN the car?!?) we(Diamond) will pay up to a MAXIMUM of £100 for the cost of replacing the locks."
So, you either pay the majority of the cost yourself and regain a little peace of mind or you risk the thieves coming back to your home address and stealing the car - which would entail another set of frustrating phone calls and delays.
As for the stereo - you take the front piece out for added security - but this is not covered on the insurance. If you left it in the car and the car was wrecked to get the radio then you can claim!!" It doesn't make sense to me!!
A very disgruntled lady driver with lots of no claims who will be looking closely at the small print of other companies when she switches.
