Great if flippin' well worked!
Doesn't flippin' work!
I have been phoning Sky for about two years with Sky+ problems. I seem to hear about so many people with issues with this system but they consistently deny it. Very strangely, around the time it all started going wrong I started getting persistent phone calls from their annoying little sales type persons trying to sell me breakdown insurance - big brother conspiracy... hmmm??
The problem I have is that every couple of weeks the whole system starts to "hang" during playback and even sometimes spontaneously deletes everything and then shuts down for a couple of hours, for a sleep I suppose. It needs repeated re-setting (a process which I know by heart now) or re-booting or whatever they at Sky call it. I'm sick of it - I'm sick of Sky! I've sent letters to the complaints department (as they amazingly don't take calls - what type of service is that in this day and age?) only to be told politely but curtly to get an engineer in; however most of these guys are about as much use as a wet paper bag.
I now face the humiliation of having to order and pay for a new Sky+ box. I hate Sky and their useless, pathetic excuse for customer service, and I'm ashamed to say I hope they go bust or fall into the sea or something.
