Good Points

After reading the previous reviews on this website about the dirty pool and rubbish food I had made up my mind before I arrived at Alcudia Pins that it would be a slightly below average holiday. However, I was utterly stunned on arrival. The reception staff are fantastic and most staff in the hotel can speak a range of languages.
The rooms are basic yet tidy and are cleaned everyday. The entire pool area and beach area were spotless. There were no complaints about the pool, besides one tragic incident. As the lifeguard took his 'break' a 3 year old boy with no armbands slipped and banged his head and fell into the pool. He was knocked unconscious and it took a few men to ensure he was out of the pool and breathing again. I recommend that if you are taking young children that you ensure they have armbands on as their lifeguards are capable yet not always present.
The location of the entire resort is not perfect for teenagers who would prefer the nightlife, however there is a taxi company outside the hotel to take you to the center for around 8 Euros. However, the nightlife in the hotel is very good. There is bingo, mini disco and usually a cabaret act. The cabarets performed by the reps are appalling but rather amusing to watch.
During the day there is plenty to do, biking, pedalos, arcades etc. This hotel is fantastic for young teenagers during the day as they cannot become bored so easily.
Hotel food is fantastic, however I recommend the cafe on the beach in comparison to the buffet restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is served relatively fast with fantastic views.
The location of the hotel as a whole is fantastic, we were lucky enough to have one balcony over looking the pool area and the other balcony overlooking the beach area and the cabaret stage. It was a literal 3 second walk from the hotel to the beach. No exaggeration - the beach is perfect, the sea is blue. Fantastic.

Bad Points

The only down side is that all the reps speak different languages which means as one person speaks in English, another speaks in German, and another in dutch and Swedish and so on this can be confusing especially during bingo! ;)

General Comments

Overall Fantastic hotel. Going back next year. Definitely recommended.
