General Comments

Visually virtually identical to the more expensive ProMount Tri Rail System the JSR Trident tri rail mount is a solid bit of kit. Sold as JSR the mounts (and laser and torch when purchased as a set) are manufactured by UTG (part of Leapers) and manufactured in china, but don't let that put you off! The quality of finish is supurb

The 11mm clamps are sturdy and very effective and grip very well. The rear mount also incorporates a grub screw stop pin which has eliminated scope creep that I used to get with cheaper SMK mounts.

The downside to the set is that the high mounts I am using aren't really high enough to cope with my parallax adjustable 50mm scope on my break barrel springer. When I packed out the rear mount to accommodate the slight barrel droop my rifle has, the parallax adjustable objective was touching the metal work, which meant I've had to pack out both ends of the scope more than I'm comfortable with.

They mount set is also heavy, although this can be reduced by removing the weaver mounting arms that aren't being employed.

When purchased as a kit with the laser and tactical flashlight, a good product becomes a stunning one. For the price (approx £50 at time of writing) the kit is great value, putting the BSA and Hawke laser/flashlight combos to massive shame.

Whilst the laser isn't the best in the world, requiring a very delicate touch to zero, it is well up to the job and the dot is visible at 35+ yards in sunny daylight at 4x magnification, and is just visible to the naked eye at over a mile at night (must be a HUGE dot by that distance). Also, there was no self adhesive Velcro in my kit for the laser. (Not a major problem but I thought I'd mention it)

The Tactical Flashlight on the other hand is a great piece of kit! Whist the BSA/Hawke flashlight is a fixed beam pattern, 3 Volt and rather dim affair; the JSR supplied one (which looks very similar to the £25 AGS Hunta-Light) is 6 Volt, adjustable beam pattern, water proof and bright! While I'm not saying that it would stand up to the Logan lamp kit or the dedicated lamping units, the light output from this torch is very useable. Focussed to your scopes field of view, the Tactical Flashlight gives a very respectable scope image up to and beyond 25 yards. The Flashlight also comes with a good weaver style mount with a fantastic captive thumb screw, meaning can be easily fitted, or removed and stowed in the field without tools or the risk of loosing the screw in your pocket or in the grass. The flashlight also comes with both a remote pressure switch and a rear mounted button (and self adhesive Velcro pads!).

The only downsides to the flashlight I've found is that does add quite a weight to your rifle, but it's quick fitting and removal reduce this problem considerably, and that when the flashlight and laser are all fitted, the scope set up becomes quite bulky and might not fit in all gun slips (A tight fit in my JSR Homeland case)

Overall, a good piece of kit when purchased on it's own, but a fantastic bit of hardware when bought as a full kit!
