Good Points

These speakers image better than any other I have heard - they are unusual in they have a single full-range driver.
Clarity/resolution is top-rate. Dynamics are incredible. The sound is seamlessly integrated from bottom to top end without crossovers and you can here the difference - a coherent and pure sound.
Other qualities are - excellent dynamics and good at low levels, good bass and punch for the size, realistic treble (cymbals sound like the original), good transients and they go quite loud. Voices are incredibly rich and detailed. Soundstaging is awesomely realistic (not forced).
They do look stunning in gloss black - a minimalist look. Cabinet quality is very good.


Bad Points

They need to be toed in for best imaging and I found the treble had to be adjusted up a little as they are a bit directional at high frequencies.
There is a listening area in which the imaging is best.
They take bit of getting used to - the image/sound is different to multi-ways.


General Comments

The Aurousal A1s are a sonic delight!
