Convenient locations.
Expensive. Unnecessary replacements.
I had been to Kwik Fit for a full service (all the previous services were done at a Mercedes show room, I thought I could save some money if I go to Kwik Fit) and my battery needed replacing. The ABS-BSR light was on in my dash board indicating there was something wrong with my brakes. I got a call saying that I had to replace all the brake pads and discs as they were worn out and the ABS-ABR light could be turned off. They charged me £900 (£500 for brake set, tyres and a battery). After they completed the ABS-BSR light was still on and now they said it was a electrical problem. I called the Mercedes show room and enquired the brake set rates and they quoted me £300, which is £200 less than Kwik Fit. I was terribly upset with Kwik Fit as my problem with ABS still persisted after spending £900. On top of that, the customer service calls asking the service and when I started complaining she mentioned about Kwik Fit insurance! I would have rather gone to Mercedes showroom, at least they would have solved the problem.
