Good Points

with 137bhp @ 11psi stock the engine feels like its alot bigger than a 1300cc,and they are SAVAGE to look at as a standard GT..not many GT Turbo cars look as good unless alot has been done to them

Bad Points

parts can be hard to come by,specially when it comes to tunning, handling is only a tad better than the 1300cc XLI

General Comments

I have had my "94 188bhp GT now for about 2 years, among the mods i done they include, full HKS de-cat pipe and back box(sweet),Blitz twin Dump valve and spits a head turnin 100Db when cained :) i also have a Ramair full enduction kit in there, uprated fuel pump and oil pump, uprated intercooler with blitz ice cold water spray, forged pistons(pollished and ported)just a few of the mods and in case you are wonderin she is runnin 1 bar boost (14.5psi)max setting also incase of engine blowing.
The standard car handles like...well like a shoppin trolly really, when drivin it hard down back roads it flits and shouts at you like it wasnt supposed to be drivin like that when it was...15" alloys and dropping it by 40-55mm makes a VERY noticable difference and could scare the pants off a slammed 106GTI which my car has eaten for breakfast on many occasion. Apart from standard handling the Starlet is to me the best 1300cc cash can buy as a second hand car..i love them and wouldnt change it for the world..really i wouldnt,my next car is gonna be a Glanza V..gonna try get 200 brake from that little engine..if i cant im gonne try slam a 2.0Turbo engine from the mighty Celica GT4 in there and befor u ask...YES it can be done :)

Sounds gr8, I want one ! Can ne1 tell me what fuel consumption u get on average (ie; not nailin it)from a standard car. R they ne good on motorways, or do they rev their nuts off at 80mph ? (mph/1,000rpm in 5th would be nice to know). Thanks.
