General Comments

This camera was really hard to get hold of (May-07). Its getting rave reviews around the World. When you see the quality of the Pix this little camera produces you'll see why. The Fuji F40fd has some new features which you didn't know you needed. Take 2 Pix simultaneously- one with flash - one without. Press another button and all the faces get exposure and focus priority- clever stuff.
This latest model has 8.3 mega pixels. Super CCD. Face recognition. Good movie mode and lots of little tricks. Combined with an excellent lens it has all the features you ever hoped for. Its the first Fuji with the option to use SD Memory Cards as well as Fuji's own XD. The Battery is good for 400 shots between charges. With 3X optical Zoom. you can take excellent pictures even in Low light conditions.
You can Edit your pix in the Camera. Zoom into any corner of your picture and you still get a quality photo.
Comes with leads to connect to your computer and TV and generates its own Slide Show. Quality sound too on movie mode. Price still varies with short supply but £150 was enough to tempt me into Costco.
