General Comments

Buy A Car www.buyacar.co.uk specified a delivery time of 3-4 weeks, but may take up to 8 weeks. Later found out after paying £500.00 deposit that they didn't even place the order for the car until after 3 weeks, they then tried to tell us that they said delivery was 10 weeks, I have documentation stating 4-8 weeks. Bought car elsewhere cheaper, now have the hassle of trying to recover the deposit. I found them an awful company to deal with, and that customer care was appalling.

   We took your order on the 30th May as a factory build vehicle to your requirements, factory orders take 8-10 weeks and the order form and confirmation clearly states factory build. When 8 weeks had passed from taking your order we contacted you to inform you that your car had arrived at the dealer at which point you advised us that you wished to cancel because you felt the order had taken too long, we then asked the dealer to contact you to discuss in the hope of offering some reassurance and you advised that you had purchased elsewhere. We don't set the timescales it takes to build these vehicles, nor do we have the power to speed up production times, I appreciate you may have required the vehicle sooner but nonetheless I do not feel that 8 weeks was an inappropriate timescale to have to wait for a vehicle to be built. I would also have thought it wise to have waited the average estimated timescale of 8 weeks before purchasing elsewhere unless of course it was a better deal that prompted this action?
