In my opinion, the smell was nice.
Deep brown colour.

General Comments

Avon Bronze Self-Tanning Lotion was the first fake tan product I've used. And after being sceptical I would turn out like I had some sun disorder, I decided to give it a shot on half term, because then I wouldn't have to go out of the house if the tan corrector failed.

I felt my application was very slap-dash, and so I wasn't confident it would turn out right. I liked the smell surprisingly, as I read a few reviews that said the smell was horrid. But, there again I like the smell of petrol, so some may not agree.

I could see a faint change in skin colour after the first 5 hours, but I think that may have just been my mind willing something to happen.

Waking up this morning, I'm extremely pleased. I'm not orange or yellow, just lovely tanned. I do have to say there is some orangey in areas, for example my wrists where I would have brushed them across lotioned areas and then added more when I got to my arms. I also have a few white patches, but I'm going to retouch these with a cotton-bud.

This product, in my opinion, does exactly what it says on the tin, and doesn't streak or give orangeness. However, if you are careless in the process of applying it, I can understand if you get these.

I'm extremely pleased at my first application, and I thought I would have to apply a second coat, but I don't. I'm also pleased I didn't go out and spend 40 pounds on the top self-tanning kit, when I could get one for under 10 pounds. This is one to try!
