Good Points

Food and service in the L'orchidee restaurant was to a high standard and this is where we went for most of our meals including breakfast. The breakfast, lunch and evening meals were as good as we had on the "celebration" which we were on last year. The rooms were cleaned on a regular basis and the towels changed at least once a day. The majority of the waiters in the bars speak limited English but they work very hard to understand what you are ordering and they all have a good sense of humour.

Bad Points

The cabin was a lot smaller than I thought it would be and to call it a superior cabin is misleading. I made the mistake of thinking there would be a fridge and also the hair dryer in the bathroom was a waist of time (there were 5 ladies in our party and all of them said the same). The bistro restaurant has not enough room to seat the amount of people it is meant to cater for so you are forced to sit in the festival show lounge with your food on a tray. The entertainment team who performed in the Captains Lounge every evening deserve a medal for putting up with such a tiny stage to work on (I suppose you could say they were in the same BOAT as ever one else!).

General Comments

The overall feeling about this holiday was that the ship is a lot smaller than we thought it would be, and although you could describe the Calypso as a cruiser you have to stretch your imagination. Why Albania has been included in the port of calls we cannot understand. Although there is a small beach area and shopping just outside the port, you will see why Albania is classed as the poorest country in Europe if you get off the ship. The journey up the Corinth Canal was something we all enjoyed and all the other ports we called at were worth getting off the ship for.
