General Comments

I have been buying A & W Root Beer for about 18 months now, and the taste still seems as refreshing and unique as the first time I tried it.

Unlike other brands of Root Beer, A & W is quite smooth. I think where other varieties go wrong is by making their drink too fizzy. A & W is carbonated, but it's kept quite subtle, and it doesn't detract from the overall flavour. The taste would seem strong to anyone trying this drink for the first time, but after a couple of cans you will find it has other flavours besides the sarsapirilla, such as a unique vanilla quality, which gives the drink its smooth taste.

I have tried stronger varieties of Root Beer, and I found them to be too harsh. This also leaves your mouth with a dry feeling, so I tend to stick with A & W, as overall it seems to be the best all rounder.
