I have had problems ever since we bought our FAB 28 fridge. The Freezer door gave way after about 1 year. I think everyone that has one of these has replaced the door. But my biggest issue at present is that the plastic insert on the back of the main door is very cheap. The lugs which hold the bottle carriers perish after 3 years and now I cannot use them. The repair solution from Smeg is to order a whole new door at a cost of £266.40. Outrageous! Don't buy this Italian rubbish. Nice piece of furniture but not much of a fridge.
