Excellent HD picture. Good SD picture, but surpassed by many other models. Sound quality better than expected.
Only one HDMI input, black levels are not great (expected with LCD).
This is a good TV, no doubt about it, it's build quality is excellent, it is a good all-rounder perfect for a mid-entry to HD TV. I was able to get this model for significantly cheaper than the retail price, nonetheless for the money it costs off the shop floor you get a lot of TV for your cash.
The picture watching HD anything is amazing, I've been watching BluRay, HD DVD, and Sky HD on this TV and all of them have startling detail and clarity. I've not had it for long but I've been putting it through it's paces.
The picture for SD stations is very watchable, I'm not positioned far from the TV (~2m) so artefacts etc. are visible from that distance. Of course the further you sit from the screen the better the picture will look. But in comparison to other TV's of similar size, notabley the sony 'V' series, the BRAVIA KDL-40S2010 does not have a great picture.
One complaint I have with this TV and all LCD's that I was not expecting is the lack of contrast and black levels. It has no impact on viewing for most things but for some films where there are a number of dark scenes, it can be difficult to make out what is happening.
All in all, I have been quite happy with this TV, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a model this size and price range. You won't be disappointed.
