Good Points

Everything! Anyone who says this hotel is not very good obviously needs another holiday there! If you treat the Egyptians with respect then you will get the same back. Every single time we went into the restaurant, the waiter who normally served us would bring us our drinks over the minute we sat down. He didn't even need to ask us what we wanted after a few days! They are friendly but as I said: if you give them attitude, then you'll only get it back. Baring in mind that these waiters get no more than around £50 a month for what they do and they work over 10 hours everyday! You try doing that!

Bad Points

The only thing I would say was a bad point, is the food. Not that is was horrible but it gave us upset stomachs for the majority of the holiday. I would suggest you keep off the salad, fruit etc., anything that is washed in their own water. Oh and also, go armed with lots of Imodium, trust me, you'll need it!!

General Comments

I would seriously suggest staying at the LTI Grand Azure, if you are going to Sharm el Sheikh. It is very smart, very big, there is so much to do there. It is right on the beach as well, so you don't have to travel far to see the sea. The maids/cleaners are always cleaning. Literally from 5 o'clock in the morning, to 10 o'clock in the evening, whether it be the gardens they are doing or cleaning the pool, which they do daily, it is just immaculate. The rooms are serviced daily with clean towels every single day, it is just brilliant and there is so much to do. We went swimming with dolphins, which we organised through our rep and it cost us £75. I know it isn't cheap but it is worth it. We also went quad-biking through the desert, which again was incredible. You stop off at Bedouin camps, which basically means traveller but is cool. That cost us £35, so that was very reasonable. I seriously suggest that you go to this hotel. I'm not sure why people have been moaning about this hotel because you can't really go wrong. Yes, I admit it's not going to be like the Ritz but at the end of the day it is still a poor country, so you can't expect the best! Go! It's wicked!

I found this a helpful review because reading the other reviews put me off a bit. I have never been to a five star hotel, so as long as it is a good as a 3 or 4 star hotel in Spain, I will be delighted. Sounds great, I'm going in June '08!
