General Comments

I left BT & Tiscali after getting a recommendation to switch to home call Pipex. however after I signed up it took me forever to be connected. So many problems, 3 failed attempts, they don't even know that I am on them yet as they don't have me on system for broadband

so finally I switch over after 3 failed attempts and my speed slows to what can only be described as slower than dial up. I ring to complain and they tell me they have not connected me yet and due to switch on the 16th. However for 2 weeks I have been connected.

So still getting whopping great connection speeds of 120k max on a service that can support 8meg and a line that can handle 6.7meg. I rang 6 times and was told a different story each time.

1) your computer is faulty
2)you are in a 10 day stabilizations period (funny i'm not on their system)
3) I'm not yet connected (funny I swear i'm using it now to type this)
4) I'm actually still with tiscali (funny how I can log in under your user name and password)
5) I was connected on the 8th and still in the 10day period
6) I again was not connected till tomorrow

I then found out they are actually using tiscali for their network, a company that I left because of the same issues

I now have to ring again tomorrow to see if I am on their system, however if I am not I still can not cancel my contract as I am tied for 12 months to them even though they are not providing the service they describe.

    You're wasting your time mate, as they just keep passing the buck and doing nothing - that's my experience. I have given up on Homecall Broadband. I am just waiting for the contract to end.
